It has been an exciting 2017 thus far here at Greenback, and we are delighted to share that we’ve been officially shortlisted for two of the Forum for Expatriate Management’s European EMMA Awards! Our 2017 US Expat Opinion Survey led to our selection for “Thought Leadership – Best Survey or Research Study of the Year” and we were also shortlisted for the prestigious “Tax Provider of the Year” award!
The Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards or “The EMMAs”
The EMMAs, created by the Forum for Expatriate Management, are the global professional’s version of the Oscars. The awards celebrate the best and brightest of the global mobility industry and the supporting suppliers and vendors. Winners are selected based on their ability to make it easier for expats and organizations to attain global mobility.
With 9 million Americans currently living abroad, we’re proud to be recognized as a company that helps to make a difference in the lives of US expats! We are also honored to have been selected as the European EMMA 2015 Tax Provider of the Year and runner-up for Tax Provider of the Year in both 2013 and 2014.
The winners will be announced on November 10, 2017 at the EMMAs gala dinner in London, as part of the Forum’s EMEA Global Mobility Summit. We’d like to sincerely thank the EMMA committee for shortlisting us as one of the best nominees and congratulate our fellow shortlisted candidates for their efforts in making a positive difference for expats, mobile professionals and the international community!
Our 2017 US Expat Opinion Survey
We were selected for the “Thought Leadership – Best Survey or Research Study of the Year” thanks to our 2017 US Expat Opinion Survey.
The goal of our annual survey is to uncover the sentiments of Americans living overseas regarding US expat taxes, citizenship renunciation, government representation and more. Once we’ve compiled the overall results, we work with our expat partner organizations and the media to raise awareness of the US expat voice in order to help protect and promote the interests of Americans abroad.
Our most recent US Expat Opinion Survey was held between March – May 2017, and it touched on several hot-button issues including the presidential election.
Over 1,800 US expats shared their thoughts with us – and the results were very insightful! Similar to the results of our 2016 survey, we saw overall that US expat taxpayers who are currently living abroad have been consistently disappointed and feel very underrepresented by the US government.
Thanks again to the Forum for Expatriate Management for recognizing the relevance of the results from our survey and for shortlisting us for the Thought Leadership award. We are thrilled to be among other top companies being considered for this outstanding award.
