New Survey Finds That US Expat Voting Could Impact 2016 Presidential Election

Greenback’s recent survey of over 1800 US expats showed that nearly 60% of US expats voted in the last presidential election. Considering that US expats represent a larger community than the entire populations of Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, North Dakota, Alaska, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming combined, this group could have a real impact on the outcome of the election. In addition, the survey showed that Americans do not feel well-represented in the US government, and frustration with FATCA and US tax filing requirements continue to grow.
