Greenback Expat Tax Services is a team of CPAs and Enrolled Agents who are experts in expat tax services for US citizens living abroad. We have years of experience completing US tax returns for Americans living abroad and have seen everything there is to see! • We believe in fair, transparent pricing. We don’t have any bait and hook pricing i.e. quote one top line fee and then charge another at the end of the process. We didn’t want to be treated that way and don’t think our customers do either. That is why we charge flat fees (all our fees are detailed on this website).
• We aim to make the process as easy as possible for you. For many of our customers, expat taxes previously had been a bit of a nightmare. We like to think we make it all a little less painful!
• We look to maximize your tax credit and refund opportunities but we don’t put you at risk with the IRS to do so. We won’t take on business if the customer asks us to do something we aren’t comfortable with. Period.

HOW WE GOT STARTED:

Greenback Expat Tax Services was founded by two American MBAs living in London who spent years being frustrated by how hard it was to get our US expat taxes done right. Our experience was that finding a CPA with good expat experience and good customer references was impossible. Our previous US CPA didn’t see enough expat returns to be fully up to speed with the rules as they applied to Americans living abroad. Our friends either had horror stories about expat accountants who quoted one fee upfront and then tacked on huge charges at the end of the process or avoided filing altogether because it was too complicated. And all the tax software simply didn’t have the muscle to handle even a simple expat return. So, we decided to do something about it!
