Carrie and David McKeegan are US Expats and have lived all over the world. Carrie was born in Michigan, but grew up in Mexico City, where her parents lived and worked.  David is originally from New York and got his first taste of life overseas by spending his junior year in college in Belgium.  Carrie and David set off to complete their bilingual MBA’s at IESE Business School, in Barcelona in 2002 and have been living abroad ever since.

While they both loved being American and living abroad, they were fed up with the process of filing US expat taxes.  Accountants back home or abroad just did not seem to understand the needs of expatriates.  They would take a long time to prepare their returns, miss common deductions and make costly mistakes. The big four accounting firms could prepare the taxes correctly, but the costs were astronomical and they make the customer do all the grunt work.  Carrie and David didn’t want to spend a penny more than necessary- either on getting their expat taxes prepared or in taxes themselves- and didn’t think that they (or you) should have to!

Carrie and David started a company that finally gets US expat taxes done correctly.  They found excellent accountants who really understand both taxes and how the tax laws impact US Expats.
