Can I Move Forward With the Greenback Questionnaire If I Don’t Have an Answer to a Question?
Yes. The Greenback questionnaire lets you skip a question when you don’t have a definitive answer yet and come back to it later, so a single missing figure never stops you from making progress. This helps when you’re waiting on a document, need to confirm a number with a foreign payor, or want to talk an item through with your accountant first.
What happens with skipped questions:
- Auto-save: Your progress is saved so you can pick up exactly where you left off
- Accountant flag: Your accountant flags missing items when reviewing your file, so nothing falls through the cracks
- Customer Champions help: Available if you’re not sure what a question is asking
- No submission block: A skipped question won’t block submission if it doesn’t apply to your situation
A rough estimate is usually fine to keep moving; your accountant confirms the exact figure before filing. If one specific question is blocking you, email your accountant, and they’ll answer it directly so you can move on.
