How Do I Sign My Tax Return with Greenback?

Once your invoice is paid, you’ll be prompted to electronically sign your final return through your secure Greenback Tax Companion portal.

This is one of the final steps before we file your return with the IRS — and it only takes a few minutes

Steps to Sign Your Return

  1. Log in to your Greenback Tax Companion account
  2. Go to the Files section
  3. Click “View/Sign” next to your final return
  4. Enter the last four digits of your SSN to access the document
  5. Follow the prompts to electronically sign
  6. Your signature will be automatically added to the correct fields

For Joint Filers (Married Filing Jointly)

            • The primary contact will receive the first email to sign
            • After the first signature is complete, a second email will be sent to the spouse
            • Both parties use the same passcode: the last four digits of the primary contact’s SSN
            • Once both signatures are received, your Greenback accountant will file the return

            Is the Signature Process Secure?

Yes. Greenback’s electronic signature process is:

            • Encrypted and secure
            • Fully IRS-compliant
            • Handled inside your private Greenback portal

No printing, scanning, or mailing needed.
